From the Start
Can you send me a quote?
Of course! Get in touch with your chosen service and vehicle registration ready and Rob will be happy to email a quote. In some cases, Rob may need to book a diagnosis first, then quote for the cost of repairs.
How do I make a booking?
Rob prefers to send a quote first, so there are no surprises (see above). Once you have perused your quote, give Rob the "go ahead," and we will book you in.
Can I bring my car to you?
The great thing about a mobile mechanic is you don't have to go anywhere! So, Rob will travel to you and bring everything he needs to work onsite. What a great solution for parents with small children, elderly folks, or people who work from home for example.
I won't be home, can I leave a key out for you?
We prefer that you don't do this. We would hate for your key to fall into the wrong hands. Rob prefers to meet the owner and explain his findings in person. Rob also requires payment after the work is complete, so leaving money unattended is also something we don't agree with. If you need to reschedule, that's fine, kindly give us 24 hours notice so we can fill the vacancy.
Services
What services do you offer?
Check out our page of services on the website for more information.
Can you do a Roadworthy Certificate?
Yes, definitely! Rob is an AIS Approved Examiner and can carry out the inspection, and any repairs if needed to have your car roadworthy.
Can you do a COI?
Yes! If you have a rideshare vehicle and have to get your yearly Certificate of Inspection (COI), Rob can complete that for you.
How long is my Roadworthy Certificate valid for?
Great question! If your vehicle fails the initial inspection, from this date, you have 2 weeks to repair the faults and complete your 2nd and final inspection. Once your vehicle passes, your roadworthy certificate is valid for two months or 2 000 kms (whichever expires first). Check out our article on this via our NEWS page.
I have a new car. Do I have to return to the dealer for servicing?
No, you don't have to return to the dealership for servicing. Your warranty will still be valid if Rob completes your logbook services. However, if you miss a logbook service or are overdue, this can void your warranty.
Do I need a general or logbook service?
This is a common question and is entirely up to you. Each vehicle manufacturer supplies a logbook with recommended servicing at set intervals (km's or time). These services need to be done if you want to keep your new car warranty and you must have your logbook stamped. Parts, fluids and labour times vary at each service interval, hence your quote will vary to reflect this. A general service covers just the basics - engine oil, oil filter and fluid level change. Your logbook will not be stamped during a general service. Keep in mind parts do need replacing due to wear and tear, which is not done during a general service unless requested. We have a great article on this in our NEWS tab.
I have an electrical fault, can you help?
Yes, of course! Rob is not only a mechanic, but also an auto electrician. There isn't much he can't do. He will first have to spend some time diagnosing the issue before he can quote for repairs.
Do you fit customer supplied parts?
No, as we cannot offer warranty on customer supplied parts. Our suppliers provide warranty on their parts, so if there is a fault, we and you, are not out-of-pocket.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Cash, EFTPOS, bank deposit upon completion of the chosen service.
Do you offer Afterpay?
No not at this stage. Our customers have not expressed a need for this payment method. We may reconsider if there is a need for it, however Afterpay fees will need to be passed onto the customer.
I had such a great experience, how can I leave feedback?
That's what we love to hear! You can leave feedback on our Google Profile, or our Facebook page. Thanks so much!
